Only He knows both the dangers and the blessings that lie ahead. For all of this, let us ask for the Lord’s blessing.
The PSALMS we have chosen as the foundation for this prayer are: Psalm 57:1, Psalm 91:3–16, and Psalm 140:4. We have also included the following additional scriptures: Deuteronomy 31:6 and 2 Samuel 22:3–4.
Before praying, read these two key verses to strengthen your faith:
a. Psalm 121:8
"The LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
b. Proverbs 3:5–6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Pray like this…
My God and Lord,
My trust is in You—I depend on Your protection.
Please, send Your angels to carry me so that I won’t stumble or fall.
Give me power to trample on the heads of demons who try to destroy me.
Deliver me from my enemies and from human violence.
Have mercy on me and don’t allow the evil one to touch me, for my soul trusts in You.
Keep me, O Lord, from those who seek to harm me. Deliver me from the wicked who plot to trip me up.
I call upon You, my God—save me from my enemies.
With my own eyes I will witness the downfall of the wicked.
Because I have set my love upon You, lift me up—above all evil.
You are my strength, my shield, and my high refuge.
Today, rescue my life and I will glorify You. Show me Your salvation and I will exalt You.
