A PRAYER FOR THE INJURED

A PRAYER FOR THE INJURED

We are learning that many people are wounded after the horrible tragedy that is affecting families and the overall society; let's lift up a prayer for the injured.

This prayer is based on these bible verses: Genesis 12:3, Exodus 20:13, Luke 10:30-37, John 3:16, Acts 4:12, Acts 16:31, Galatians 3:28 and Ephesians 2:8-9.

Use these lines to guide your prayer, but feel free to add your own to let your heart express itself.

Let's pray...

"Father God,

I know your commandment says "You shall not murder"; but here we go again, suffering because someone did not listen to you and has caused a severe pain in the souls of many.

In situations like this there is neither religion nor race, there is no male and female, no wealthy or poor, for we are all one in this sorrow.

Holy Spirit, please touch the hearts of the people who are injured, convince them that if they believe in the Lord Jesus they will be saved and will recover.

Teach them that calling the name of Jesus will transform their tragedy into victory through a daily process of love and healing.

For our Father God so loved their lives, that he gave his only Son, that whoever among them believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Give me the opportunity, or provide someone next to them, to tell them that your grace is fully available for them, that despite of their past mistakes in life, your salvation for their souls and for the healing of their bodies is a true gift.

Please provide the assistance they need, men and women of expertise that will supply the medical support they must receive to overcome their injuries and traumas, just like the 'Good Samaritan' provided for the healing of the wounded man.

And extend your blessing to all those good-hearted people; reward them as they assisted others disregarding their own lives.

In the name of the only true savior and healer, Jesus Christ;

Amen.
