Prayer for Fasting - Based on the Prayer of Nehemiah

When the time or day comes to end your abstinence from food, it would be ideal if you did so with the same spirit with which you went through it.

Therefore, this prayer to fast will help you express yourself before God. This prayer is based on the words recorded in Nehemiah 1:5-11.

Nehemiah decided to pray and fast because he had received bad news about Israel and Jerusalem, his beloved city.

During his days of fasting, he prayed for God's favor to resolve the situation; his prayers were heard, and his success was great.

Use the historic words of this man of God and pray with faith, knowing that the Heavenly Father is good to bless you, and all the people for whom you are crying out.

Very well, pray like this...

Heavenly Father,

Please accept my fast.

Hear me and attend to my prayer, for I am your servant.

Day and night I have prayed to you for my longings, desires, requests, and needs.

Bless me with your favor, grace, power, deliverance, wisdom, and salvation.

Your answer to my prayers will give me reasons to worship you.

Answer me Lord, and I will testify of you to others.

Make doors of opportunity open for me.

Use the right people.

Supply the necessary resources, and give me good success.

So too, I accept your plans and your decisions.

I understand that your ways are better than mine.

Speak to me and I will do your good will.

O good God, thank you for accepting my fast.

Thank you for understanding my situation.

Thank you for hearing my prayers.

Thank you for what you will do with me.

In Jesus' name, amen.

It's good to know that you have prayed for fasting!

But if this is the first time you are praying to God, then I want to invite you to make another prayer. A VERY IMPORTANT prayer that will not only bless your present, but also your future, even your eternity; do today ...

The Prayer #1
